1. Driver Requirements

• The minimum rental age is 21 years.
• All drivers must have held a valid driving licence for at least two years.
• A valid driving licence and identification document must be presented when collecting the vehicle.
• Documents reporting a lost or stolen driving licence or identification document are not accepted as substitutes.

2. Payment

Payment of the estimated rental amount is required at the beginning of the rental.

Accepted payment methods include cash and credit card. Where a security deposit is required, it may be provided by Visa, Mastercard, cheque or cash.

3. Security Deposit

Driving licence held for more than four years

You can rent without a security deposit.

Driving licence held for two to four years, inclusive

A security deposit is required. The amount ranges from €400 to €2,000, depending on the option selected during the online booking process.

A security deposit and an insurance excess are different. The deposit is a guarantee collected or secured at the start of the rental. The excess relates to your financial responsibility in the circumstances described below.

Renting without a deposit does not remove your responsibility for damage to the vehicle.

4. Rental Rates

Our rates include

• Vehicle maintenance, oil and vehicle documents.
• Delivery in your locations
• Unlimited mileage.
• Insurance, subject to the selected cover and the applicable rental conditions.
• The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at collection.

5. Rental Period and Return

The rental period is calculated in full 24-hour periods. These periods are not divided into hourly rates.

The renter agrees to return the vehicle on the date and at the time specified in the rental agreement.

6. Insurance and Accident Excess

Insurance is included in the rental. The applicable excess depends on the cover selected during booking.

When does the accident excess apply?

The accident excess applies only when both of the following conditions are met:

• The driver is 100% responsible for the accident.
• The accident leaves the vehicle unable to be driven.

In these circumstances, the excess associated with the selected cover applies.

An accident report must be provided for an insurance claim to be considered. If the driver is not responsible for the accident, no accident excess is charged under this policy.

Limited damage

For limited damage, such as a broken mirror or headlight, you pay only the cost of repairing or replacing the damaged item, rather than automatically paying the full accident excess.

The amount depends on the damage and the vehicle concerned. This also applies to scratches, dents and interior damage.

7. Vehicle Theft

In the event of vehicle theft, you will not be charged for the stolen vehicle provided that you retain and hand over both the vehicle documents and the vehicle key to Click’n’go.

Both the vehicle documents and the key are required to qualify for this no-charge provision.
